OpenAI projects its ChatGPT platform will reach 700 million weekly active users this week, marking a 40% increase from March 2025's 500 million count. The AI chatbot now processes over three billion daily messages across free and paid tiers, with enterprise adoption driving five million paying business users.

Despite trailing Google's AI Overviews (2B monthly users) and Gemini App (450M MAUs), OpenAI secured $8.3 billion in fresh funding from Dragoneer, a16z, and Sequoia. Annual recurring revenue hit $13 billion, with $20 billion anticipated by year-end as global expansion accelerates.
